A diversion is now underway from Virginia to Ballyjamesduff and to New Inns for traffic coming from both directions on the N3.
The N3 remains closed following a two-vehicle collision which occurred between Lisgrey House and Billis on the N3. Emergency services were at the scene and a female was brought by air ambulance to the Mater Hospital in Dublin. According to Gardaí the road is expected to be closed for some time.
