The Do Not Consume Notice affecting customers on the Threemilehouse and Togan Public Water Supply has been lifted with immediate effect.
Uisce Éireann can confirm that, following consultation with the Health Service Executive, customers on this supply can now resume normal use of their water supply.
The Do Not Consume Notice was issued on Thursday last, 10 July to protect the health of approximately 300 customers following the detection of elevated levels of manganese in the supply.
Drinking water experts from Uisce Éireann worked to lift the notice for impacted customers as quickly and as safely as possible.
Uisce Éireann’s Peter Gallagher acknowledged the impact of the notice on the community; "Uisce Éireann regrets the inconvenience that the Do Not Consume Notice caused. I would like to thank affected customers for their patience and support while our drinking water experts worked to lift it as quickly as it was safe to do so."
