A park for dogs has opened its doors in Carrickmacross this week.
Carrickmacross tidy towns along with Monaghan County Council delivered this pet friendly facility.
Local Councillor Colm Carty says it's a great idea and he says he has already being getting calls from neighboring towns and from other counties looking to bring their dogs to Carrick for a visit.

Councillor Carthy says this park is a very well development for the people and pets of the wider Carrickmacross area.
The Carrickmacross Councillor says he can see this becoming a tourism amenity and also an added benefit for people's mental health
