Driver with no insurance has car seized in Ballinagh

When gardaí stopped a car in Ballinagh on Sunday, they found it was uninsured.

After establishing the driver had no insurance Cavan Roads Policing Unit seized the blue Ford Focus car.

The driver will also be charged to court.

Since May, Gardaí nationwide can check a vehicle insurance status while on the roadside by checking its registration on the Garda Mobility App.

Nationally, 1,840 vehicles were seized for having no insurance in the month of April alone.
