In Monaghan, there has been 892 applications, while in Cavan there was almost 1,200 applications.
Across the region, there was over €2 million paid out, with €1.3 million going to Cavan, and €990 thousand going to Monaghan.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Agriland Technical Beef Specialist, Breifne O'Brien said that 2025 has been a positive year for livestock farmers.
The Co. Cavan farmer explained the importance of the scheme.
Mr. O'Brien said: "Ultimately the Beef Welfare Scheme aims to increase the economic efficiency, and enhance animal health and husbandry on suckler farms.
"We did see that coming to the fore this year. One of the measures in the scheme is vaccinating weanlings.
"There was feedback from buyers expressing concerns that there wasn't enough weanlings vaccinated, or with an appropriate animal health or parasite control plan in place.
"The scheme is servicing market requirements," he added.
