A man is due in court this morning following a major cannabis seizure in Monaghan.
At around 1pm yesterday, Gardaí from the Monaghan Divisional Drugs Unit assisted by uniformed and detective gardaí searched a residential property near Castleblayney. During the search, a sophisticated cannabis cultivation operation was discovered. Cannabis plants with a potential value of €118,000and suspected vacuum-packed Cannabis with a value of €100,00was seized. The total amount of suspected drugs seized has an estimated value of €218,000. A man in his 40s was arrested and charged.
He is due before a sitting of Cavan District Court this morning.
