A number of local projects have been approved under the 2025 Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
€300,000 has been awarded to Castleblayney towards infrastructure for children and teenagers in the area.
The funding will see an internal fit-out of the community building at Mindszenty Park to provide shared, accessible indoor space for youth, sports, volunteer and educational groups.

€50,000 was also awarded for the procurement of consultancy services to prepare a restoration plan for the historic Walled Garden beside Hope Castle and the Annexe buildings at Lough Muckno. Cllr Aidan Campbell says it's a very welcome development locally especially as we come to the end of the year.
