€70,000 worth of cocaine has been seized in Ballyjamesduff and a man was arrested.
Yesterday, Gardaí from the Cavan Drugs Unit searched a house in Ballyjamesduff.
This was as part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the region.
Cocaine with an estimated street value of €70,000 and quantities of cannabis herb and resin were seized.
A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested and detained at a station in the Garda North Western Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
He was subsequently charged and is due to appear before Cavan District Court today, 16th October 2025.
The drugs will sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
The Drugs Unit was assisted by Gardaí from Cavan Community Engagement and the Dog Unit.
Gardaí say Investigations are ongoing.
