A local community childcare group has received a major boost in funding to build a new facility.
Scotshouse Community Childcare have received €750,000 under the Building Blocks Scheme. The scheme is designed to help fund community childcare facilities to extend their buildings or build new facilities. Scothouse missed out in the last round of funding but have now received €750,000 which will go towards the construction of a new single storey childcare building, at a total cost of €1.3 million.
Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise and Local TD, Niamh Smyth has welcomed the news.
