The R196 will be closed from its junction with the N3, New Inns, to its junction with the R194, Ballyjamesduff, tomorrow (Wednesday) 8th of March for the purpose of repairing collapsed culvert.
Alternative routes for motorists are from New Inns via N3 to Virginia Town, via R194 to junction with the R196 Ballyjamesduff. The same diversion route will apply in reverse.
According to Cavan County Council, local access will be accommodated where possible and diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works. All enquiries regarding the above road closure should be directed to the Ballyjamesduff Municipal District Office.
