Emergency road works in place due to partial road collapse in Cavan

From today, there will be emergency road works taking place over a number of days on the Virginia to Ballyjamesduff Road (R194).

A partial road collapse occurred as a result of the recent heavy rainfall across the Northern Sound region.

A stop and go system is in place and there will be delays in traffic flow.

Motorists have been advised to choose an alternative route until the work is completed.
