ESB has been granted planning permission to develop a 30-metre-high telecommunications mast in Cavan Town.
The mast will constructed at ESB's Cavan Depot site in Moynehall, Cavan Town.
It will consist of the construction of a 30-metre high, free standing communications structure alongside associated antennae, communication dishes and ground equipment.

It will be constructed within a compound surrounded by fencing that is over two metres in height.
ESB says the mast "will provide vital communication services to the surrounding areas".
The planning application noted that the compound will be used two or three times annually by the operators accessing their equipment", and will result in a "limited impact on traffic of the main road".
