A local councillor says there's "exciting times" ahead for Sliabh Beagh due to investment boosts in recent times.
Cllr Pauric Clerkin welcomed the €6 Million which was recently allocated under the Shared Island Fund.
Cllr Clerkin also paid tribute to all stakeholders and members of the community throughout Tydavnet Parish who played their part in delivering the Sliabh Beagh Masterplan, which made the successful application for the Shared Island Funding possible.
The funding for Sliabh Beagh will enable the development of extensive connected walking, cycling and equestrian cross-border trails around the mountain, with the inclusion of trailheads, public art and gateways.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Clerkin says the projects funded will increase the overall attractiveness of the Sliabh Beagh area which will assist in attracting new visitors and increase length of stay and total spend:
