Heather Humphreys has officially conceded the 2025 Presidential Election.
At the Cavan-Monaghan count centre this afternoon, the former Fine Gael Minister congratulated Catherine Connolly on "becoming the next President of Ireland".
Ms Humphreys said her name will not appear on a ballot paper again, reaffirming that her time in electoral politics has come to an end.

Speaking to Northern Sound News, she thanked the people of Cavan and Monaghan for their continued support.
