Cavan County Council and Cavan County Local Development invited expressions of interest for outdoor recreation project proposals.
The scheme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development in partnership with Fáilte Ireland.
The focus of the scheme is to support outdoor recreational infrastructure in countryside areas across Ireland that not only provides an outlet for the communities in which they are situated but also delivers added value from a tourism perspective.
Projects typically funded by the scheme include walkways, cycleways, blueways, water and cycle trails, mountain access routes, bridleways, and open water amenities at bogs, rivers and lakes.
Under the two grants that are available, a maximum of €200,000 can be applied for.
