Cavan Monaghan TD Brendan Smith has welcomed confirmation that an extension to Mullahoran National School has been given the go-ahead to commence.
Work will soon start on a building project to provide one classroom SEN base and one SET to cater particularly for children with Special Education Needs.
Along with his colleague Councillor Phillip Brady, Deputy Smith said he was very glad to support the School Principal and the school staff and Board of Management to secure this development under the government's Additional School Accommodation Scheme (ASA).
He complimented the wider school community on their work and wish good luck to all involved in this welcome building project.
Deputy Smith said he will continue to support the Mullahoran community as they seek to enhance and expand amenities in their area.
