Co Monaghan has strong connections to this year's Rose of Tralee Festival.
The 2025 Rose of Tralee Rose Tour kicked off yesterday, as the 32 International Roses came together for the first time in The Royal County, Meath.
Over the next five days the 2025 Rose Tour will stop in Meath, Limerick and County Kerry, before 32 International Roses are officially welcomed to Tralee on Friday 15 August for the 2025 Rose of Tralee International Festival.
Roslea woman Caoimhe Connolly will represent Co Fermanagh in this year's Rose of Tralee Festival. Caoimhe has strong roots in Co Monaghan also, with family members hailing from the Smithboro area. The 26-year-old from East Fermanagh is a Chartered Accountant specialising in Tax. After a four year stint in Liverpool studying, Caoimhe now runs an online page giving financial advice She is also a singer, musician and a qualified beekeeper to name but a few.
Meanwhile, Arizona Rose Coleen Kelehan-Pierson is fifth generation Irish-American. With family roots in Co Monaghan also, Colleen said that she will be proudly flying the flag for the Farney County during this year's Rose of Tralee Festival.
