Fianna Fail will host it's party convention for the Cavan-Monaghan constituency this evening.
The event will take place at 8pm tonight at the Errigal Country House Hotel in Cootehill. Speaking to Northern Sound, Deputy Smyth described her party as "ambitious" adding that this year will be no different to the last election when it comes to opting for a three candidate strategy.
It is expected that Deputy Niamh Smyth, Deputy Brendan Smith and Monaghan's Robbie Gallagher will all be selected to run in the upcoming General Election.
