First-time buyers spend night in sleeping bags to secure new properties in Dublin

A booking deposit of €5,000 is required to secure one of the houses.

Dozens of first-time buyers slept in sleeping bags and queued overnight in an attempt to secure one of almost 40 new properties going on sale in Dublin today.
The three bed homes officially go on sale this morning.
Over sixty people, including families with young children, queued in the rain overnight, at the Seven Mills housing development between Clondalkin and Lucan in Dublin.

With dozens queuing since 3 o clock yesterday afternoon in a desperate attempt to get one of the new homes.
Many brought deck chairs, blankets and sleeping bags as they prepared to brave the elements until the houses go up for sale this morning.
38 three-bed properties, costing close to half a million euro, officially go on the market at 9am on a first come, first served basis.
A booking deposit of €5,000 is required to secure one of the houses.
