A follow-up community meeting is to be held next week in Carrickmacross.
As promised by local TD Matt Carthy at the last large public meeting held in the town a few months ago, another one is taking place.
Deputy Carthy is organising a follow-up community meeting next Monday 29th September in the Shirley Arms Hotel.
He said they be outlining progress since the last meeting in terms of engagements with Gardaí, council and state agencies. The previous meeting held in May discussed concerns surrounding safety and migration in the town.
At the time Deputy Carthy said an issue with anti-social behaviour and crime along with a lack of garda visibility were some of the concerns highlighted to him at that gathering.
This public gathering will also be an opportunity for the residents of Carrickmacross to share their own views, concerns and proposals. Deputy Carthy says the objective is to ensure that Carrick is a safe town with the services, facilities and amenities that everyone deserves
