A local councillor has raised the need for a footpath and traffic calming measures at Stramatt, Virginia from Pairc MacFinn to the N3. Cllr Shane P O'Reilly brought the issue to the most recent sitting of the Ballyjamesduff Municipal District.
He said it was a major issue that needed to be addressed, the independent councillor said that the lack of a footpath is very worrying. The Mullagh native said he will assist in whatever way he can with the community in working on applications for funding to make the area safe for locals out walking the route.
Cllr O'Reilly said this is an urgent safety matter that needs to be dealt with:
