A number of items were stolen in four house break-ins that took place in Co Monaghan during the weekend.
Gardaí have begun an investigation into four separate break-ins, all of which took place between 5:30pm and shortly before 10pm on Saturday last.
The first one took place at a residence in Carrickmacross when a house was broken into between 5:30pm and 9:30pm. Gardaí are satisfied no items of interest were taken.
Local Gardai are also investigating the circumstances behind three further burglaries in Ballybay, Carrickmacross and Castleblayney.
It’s understood that cash and a number of items of jewellery were taken in the Ballybay and Carrickmacross break-ins.
