Gardai in Co Monaghan are appealing for locals to be vigilant over recent reports of fraudulent activity.
Concerns have been raised over people calling to farm yards offering to paint sheds throughout various areas in Co Monaghan.
As a result of this, Garda Tracey Donaghy is advising that people employ the services of reputable companies.
Garda Donaghy is also encouraging locals to be wary of any unsolicited callers to your property who are offering these services.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Garda Donaghy said: "It may be worth seeking recommendations from other farmers in Monaghan and taking time to certify matters such as insurance and relevant certifications. If you are suspicious of callers to your home or farm, please do not delay in contacting your local Garda Station."
