Free parking in Cavan and Monaghan towns has come to an end.
Both local councils removed charges for the Christmas period in a bid to
encourage people to shop in local towns.
In Cavan, off street parking was free at certain times for December but
normal charges apply from today.

All parking in Monaghan was free from 12 noon daily but this too is ending
today.
