The free car parking scheme in place in Monaghan Town over Christmas ends this evening.
On-street parking in the town had been free from early December over the holidays and today.
The Council ran the scheme at the busiest time of the year to support local business and encourage people to shop local.

From tomorrow all normal parking fees will apply in Monaghan Town.
Meanwhile, all off street parking charges return to normal from Cavan Town also.
Cavan County Council made over 1,200 free off-street car parking spaces available to shoppers throughout December.
