Free parking is returning to Monaghan town this Christmas.
Monaghan County Council confirmed today that the scheme will be starting on Monday, December 6th.
Free parking will be offered at all pay-parking areas in the town from 12 noon to 6pm each day until January 2nd.

Cathaoirleach of the Monaghan MD, David Maxwell, said he hopes this gesture will help the traders of the town during the Christmas period.
