Funding for Cavan / Monaghan biodiversity projects

The Killyconny Bog Project in Co. Cavan and the Tydavnet Group Water Scheme, Co. Monaghan will each receive €40,000. 

Biodiversity projects in Cavan and Monaghan are to receive funding of between €20,000 and €40,000 euro. The Killyconny Bog Project in Co. Cavan and the Tydavnet Group Water Scheme, Co. Monaghan will each receive €40,000. The River Blackwater Trust will receive two grants totalling €45,000. €20,000 will be allocated to the Cor Bog Restoration Project while €25,610 will go to the Sliabh Beg Restoration Project.

Minister of State for Nature, Heritage and Biodiversity, Christopher O'Sullivan made the announcement yesterday. Cavan-Monaghan TD Niamh Smyth welcomed the money that will be spent on peatlands and Natura 200 sites as "important work":
