Funding of 18,000 euro has been secured for a playground in Co Monaghan.
The funding was secured under the annual playgrounds grant from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
According to Monaghan County Council, this funding will be used to supplement the budget for redeveloping the play facilities in Corrybrennan Park, Ballybay.

The additional funding is earmarked to provide sensory play features to the playground and to enhance its appeal to children on the autism spectrum.
The amenity is currently being designed by staff, and will be shown to residents for comment before being submitted for Part 8 planning in Q2 2023.
