A fundraiser has been set up following the death of a Co Monaghan man who died suddenly while travelling abroad.
35 year old James Hagan from Mullaghmatt has been described as a "fantastic community man" who was a "real beacon of hope for people in Monaghan Town.
Posting to the GoFundMe page, the Hagan family described James as someone who was "well known" and "loved by everyone with his bright outlook on life."
The Hagan family said that James was an independent individual that went on his adventures and unfortunately these tragic circumstances occurred while he was overseas.
The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust is responsible for bringing James home to Monaghan Town and the Hagan family said they have "so much gratitude" for the trust in doing that.
As a result, the Hagan family have decided to raise money to benefit the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
In a statement posted online, the Hagan family said: "Every cent counts to help bring amazing people back home to their families from all over the world and any donation will help make an impact."
