A fundraiser to bring the body of one of the victims of the Louth road tragedy home has reached over £30k.
21 year old Chloe Hipson who is from Scotland was one of the five young people who lost their lives in a road traffic collision on Saturday night in Dundalk.
The other victims were Chloe McGee from Carrickmacross , Alan McCluskey from Drumconrath, Dylan Commins from Ardee who were all aged 23, and Shay Duffy from Carrickmacross, aged 21.
Friends of Chloe Hipson's family started the Go Fund Me page, to bring the 21 year old home so her friends and family can say their goodbyes properly and give her the loving send off she deserves.
The Bellshill Amateurs, who Chloe's brother plays for, said they are absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of the 21 year old, describing her as a young woman ready to live her life taken from her family far too soon.
Donations have been paused as the original £15k target has been exceeded.
