A GoFundMe page has been set up following the death of Annie Heyneman, the mother of five was killed in her Kilnavart home last week.
Originally the fundraising page had a target of €10,000 but that was reached in a matter of hours now the page that has been set up with consent from the Heyneman family has reached €16,000.
The organiser of the fundraising initiative said in a message on the page that the family are eternally grateful for the love and support at this time, adding that they had clearly underestimated us as a community and have raised the target to reflect this.
The GoFundMe page says that Annie was a kind, caring and beautiful soul who dedicated her life to her family and community in which her passing has left a gaping hole.
In such unprecedented circumstances this fundraiser has been set up to help the family through this difficult time. As well as helping toward funeral costs, It will also help to support Henk once he returns home with any additional care he may need.
