The funeral for RTÉ broadcaster and actor Seán Rocks will take place this morning in Monaghan Town.
The Monaghan native began presenting programmes on RTÉ Lyric FM in 2000 and became the voice of Arena on RTÉ Radio 1.
President Michael D Higgins will be among the mourners to attend the funeral along with some of the biggest names from the Irish arts community.
Seán was on air up to a number of days before his sudden death and his untimely passing has come as a shock to his loyal listeners, members of the arts community, his friends and colleagues.
Speaking to Northern Sound last week, Head of RTÉ Radio 1, Tara Campbell said Mr Rocks was a ”brilliant colleague and a fantastic broadcaster”.
Canon Patrick McGinn, Parish Priest for BallyBay, will celebrate the Funeral Mass that will take place in Saint Macartan's Cathedral in Monaghan at 11am.
