A Cootehill man who tragically died in Australia in October in a mine explosion will be laid to rest tomorrow.
Former Cootehill footballer Ambrose Patrick McMullen, known locally as 'Ambie' died at the scene following at underground explosion at Endeavor mine at Cobar, New South Wales
He has been described by those who knew him as an "honourable man who had time for everyone" and one of life's "true gentlemen."
The 59-year-old was among two people killed in the explosion.
A funeral service to celebrate Ambie’s life will be held in Cobar, NSW on Friday 14th of November.
A memorial service will be held in Cootehill on Monday 22nd of December.
