An on-duty Garda has been injured following a two-vehicle road traffic collision in County Cavan.
A Garda investigation has been launched into the collision the occurred last Saturday afternoon at Cashel Cross in Ballinagh.
The collision between a motorcycle and a car occurred at approximately 1:50pm on the N55 on Saturday afternoon last.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s and an on-duty member of An Garda Síochána, was taken to Cavan General Hospital for treatment of injuries.
In a statement issued to Northern Sound News, gardai confirmed that both men involved in the collision are not believed to be in a serious condition following the incident.
There were no other injuries reported and investigations are ongoing.
