Garda Lisa Stevens of Bailieboro Garda Station is appealing to all road users to take care on local roads.
As we enter into these darker evenings, Garda Stevens issued a warning over poor visibility and poor road conditions due to the winter weather.
She stressed the importance of all road users, pedestrians, cyclists, scooter users and drivers of vehicles being safe and visible.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Garda Stevens outlined the importance of being aware of your surroundings and don't get distracted.
She warned that taking your eyes of the road for a split second could have dire consequences.
