Cavan Roads Policing Unit stopped a motorist on the N3 yesterday who failed the roadside breath test for alcohol.
The Driver was arrested and more samples were taken.
Meanwhile the Gardai in Carrickmacross were on the N2 yesterday and detected a motorist driving at 121kmph towing a trailer.

The legal speed limit while towing a trailer is 80kmph.
