Gardaí in Monaghan are appealing for information following the theft of a classic Mark 2 Ford Escort car and other items from the Scotstown/Knockatallon area. The burglary happened between 8am and 9pm on Sunday.
The classic Ford was recovered a short distance from the scene but a Dewalt impact screwgun, a 2 Omp bucket seat, a wheel rim with a Yokohama tyre fitted and other tools remain outstanding.
Gardaí want anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the Scotstown/Knockatallon area during the given hours on Sunday to get in touch.
Officers are particularly interested in the movements of a white Ford Fiesta travelling with possibly four occupants in the area.
For information, the tyre fitted to the wheel rim was sized 185/60/13.
