Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Shercock, Co. Cavan yesterday morning.
A man in his 40s passed away in the two-vehicle collision.
Gardaí say the crash, involving a car and a lorry, happened on the R192 at Corcloughan shortly before half past seven yesterday morning.
The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The lorry driver, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital for assessment.
The road was closed for a forensic examination but has since reopened and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
It brings the total number of fatalities on our roads to 12 so far this year.
