Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist in his 80s was killed in a hit-and-run in County Meath.
It happened in Batterstown yesterday morning.
The incident happened on the R156 at Batterstown, Ballivor, Co Meath shortly after 10 o'clock on Friday morning.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward - especially anyone who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, and were in the area of Batterstown, between 9.30 and 10.00 on Friday morning to make that footage available to them.
Gardaí are particularly interested in the movements of heavy goods vehicles (rigid or articulated trucks) that were in the area at the time.
