Gardai say they are catching someone driving under the influence of drink or drugs every hour in 2025.
A new road safety campaign will take place this weekend - with a particular focus on drink or drug driving. The operation came into place at 7 o clock this morning around the country.
Chief Superintendent for roads policing, Jane Humphries, says there will be regular checkpoints across the weekend.
