Gardai have offered advice to local motorists after a number of car thefts were reported recently in the Castleblayney/Carrickmacross areas. According to Gardai, a handbag was stolen from a car shortly before 9pm on Wednesday the 23rd of April in Castleblayney.
The car was travelling in the area of Cavanaguillagh. When the car stopped the handbag was stolen from the passenger side. Also on the evening of Wednesday the 23rd of April, a handbag was stolen from a car at Riverside Road in Carrickmacross shortly after 9pm.
The driver of the car was parked at the time and the handbag was stolen from the passenger side. Gardai in Carrickmacross are appealing to any witness to come forward.
