Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information on the death of Kelly Lynch, which her family believe was suspicious.
The 23-year-old was found in a canal in Monaghan on St Patrick’s Day last year with what her family say were knuckle marks on her neck and a broken jaw.
They are seeking witnesses who may have seen her walking near the Ulster Canal bridge before her body was found.
Her mother, Julieanne, says the approaching anniversary is painful but is determined to keep pushing for answers.
Kelly’s family raised concerns over injuries found on her body, leading to a review of the case.
That review is currently ongoing and Gardaí urge anyone with information to come forward.
