Gardaí in Co Cavan are appealing for information following a number of reported burglaries. Garda Lisa Stevens of Bailieboro Garda Station is encouraging anyone with information to come forward and assist with Garda investigations. Gardaí in Belturbet are investigating the theft of a chainsaw which was stolen from the side of the road while the owner was working on telecoms.
This incident took place on the 1st of February between the hours of 12 midday and 9pm. The area in question was the R197 Ballinlough, Belturbet. If you can offer any information on this crime, please contact Belturbet Gardai on 049 952 2122. Elsewhere, in Creighan Drive in Cavan on the 14th of February from 1am to 7am a house was broken into. According to Gardai a rear door was forced open to gain entry. Nothing was taken during the course of the burglary however damaged caused upset to the homeowner. If you can recall the 14th of February and any suspicious persons or vehicles in the Creighan Drive area place contact with Cavan Gardaí.
Moving to the Cootehill area where a burglary took place in Rockfield Rise between the hours of 5:45pm and 9:15pm. A small sum of cash was taken. Gardai in Cootehill would like to hear from anyone with information.
