Gardai are continuing to question a teenage boy after army chaplain, Fr. Paul Murphy suffered multiple stab wounds outside Renmore Barracks late on Thursday night.
He was taken to University Hospital Galway, where his injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.

Defence Forces members fired warning shots and restrained a teenager at the scene, who was then arrested by Gardaí.
Residents were taken aback by news.
