It’s been confirmed that the Glencarn Hotel will not be used as asylum accommodation.
Deputy Matt Carthy confirmed the news this evening adding that himself and Cllr Paul Gibbons would be engaging with all the stakeholders of the hotel.
He said through engagements it’s hoped they can see what is planned for the local hotel.
The Glencarn has long been an integral part of the community and we will provide whatever assistance we can to ensure its future as a viable commercial hotel.
The following statement has been furnished to Deputy Carthy.
