The HSE have issued a public health alert for possible measles exposure. Anyone who was travelling on the 115 Bus Eireann route between Dublin and Mullingar or Mullingar to Dublin between Tuesday 30th of January and Monday 5th February may have been exposed to the virus
The HSE have also advised that a restaurant in Mullingar Business Park was also affected on Monday January 29th between the hours of 2pm and 4:30pm.
The public are being urged to monitor potential symptoms for 21 days from the time of exposure and, if affected, to phone ahead before attending healthcare settings. They also urge those potentially affected to ensure they are fully vaccinated.
