Hundreds gather at candlelight vigil for Louth murder victims

The wider community came out in huge numbers tonight.

Over 500 people have come together tonight in memory of Mark, Louise and Evan O'Connor, who were found dead at their home in Co Louth close to the Monaghan border on Monday morning.

Fr Gerry Campbell led the prayers at a candlelit vigil at the Stonetown Community Walking Track tonight.

Robert O'Connor from Drumgowna, Louth Village in County Louth has been charged with three counts of murder.

Our Lady Queen of Peace in Louth facilitated the tribute to the family to allow the community to unite in prayer for their souls, for their grieving loved ones, and for the community to come together.
