The Justice Minister has described an attack on gardaí in Dublin in the early hours of this morning as "disgusting" and "thuggish".
Helen McEntee says the assault on two officers in Ballyfermot shows a complete disrespect for our gardaí, and the appalling incident will not be treated lightly.
The two officers - a man and a woman - were taken to St. James's Hospital, and one has since been released.

Two men and a woman have been arrested.
President of the Garda Representative Association, Brendan O'Connor says the assault was extremely violent.
