One local woman from Co Cavan is still without a basic telephone service as a result of damage caused by Storm Eowyn. Barbara from Killeshandra has left been without this service since the 25th of January. Seven weeks on from the devastation of Storm Eowyn, Barbara says there are many who have been left without this essential service, many of whom are extremely vulnerable or living with serious health issues.
Barbara says connections like broadband, Wi-Fi and landlines are a "lifeline" for many, yet people like herself are still receiving bills from Eir, even though they have been left without services since the storm.
