Kyte Powertech strike action on Thursday and Friday 'deferred'

'Employees need to secure additional earnings'

Further Strike action planned for Thursday and Friday by Kyte Powertech workers in Cavan has been deferred.

Siptu organiser Martin O’Rourke confirmed to Northern Sound this morning that talks between workers and the company will take place at the Labour Court tomorrow.

Workers at the company took to the picket line last Friday over pay and conditions.

Mr O’Rourke says the cost of living is gone so high now that some workers can't afford to put fuel in their cars to get to work.

He added that employees need to secure additional earnings, and the Union will seek that for them.
